Every day ChessMiq serves one new forced-mate position to everyone who visits. It is picked deterministically from the verified puzzle pool, so you and every other solver see the same board on the same date — and it changes automatically at midnight.
Solving the daily puzzle keeps your streak counter alive. Revealed solutions do not count, so the streak measures genuine solves rather than visits. Miss a day and the counter restarts — that gentle pressure is what builds a daily tactics habit.
Unlike most sites, the practice does not stop at one position. Once the daily puzzle is solved you flow directly into endless mode with more than 5,000 verified mate puzzles, served at random and filtered so you do not repeat positions you have already beaten.
Each attempt updates an Elo-style rating that starts at 1200. Clean solves earn the most, hinted solves earn a fraction, revealed solutions cost points and skips are neutral. Your rating and rank are stored against your internet connection, so there is nothing to sign up for. New to tactics? Start with the beginner's guide to chess puzzles.
